Pike Technologies...

Pike Technologies was established in 1989 by Phil and Irene Brierley in the basement of their home. The goal was the creation of a unique enterprise specialising in the imaginative design and creation of high quality custom spectroscopic accessories. PIKE was founded on the principle of making the life of the spectroscopists easier through replacing traditional, tedious sampling routines with a range of innovative products and techniques ..... and all at outstanding value!

The PIKE range of FTIR accessories is comprehensive, ranging from traditional transmission sampling such as liquid cells and KBr disk preparation to fully automated accessories for diffuse reflectance, specular reflectance, transmission and polarisation studies.

The Valu-Line kit is a cost effective sampling kit which includes accessories for the major strategies of diffuse reflectance, horizontal attenuated total reflectance for liquids and solids (HATR) and specular reflectance. The kit is suitable for the analysis of liquids, powders, polymers and reflective surfaces.

The PIKE MIRacle sampling system is a sensitive and uncomplicated IR sampling accessory suitable for liquids and solids including intractable materials. Based on the HATR technique the MIRacle can be configured with a wide range of sampling platforms including single and three reflection diamond plates for the most corrosive and rigid samples such as strong acids and inorganic powders. Flow cell and temperature control options provide the IR laboratory with additional sampling strategies. MIRacle’s small sampling surface combined with a high energy throughput optical system facilitates micro-sampling, an ideal tool for forensic studies and examining small areas of large samples such as inclusions in polymers.

To maximise laboratory productivity, PIKE have developed automated sampling accessories controlled from the FTIR’s computer creating a hands off approach for the analysis of samples such as minerals, polymer films, silicon wafers and pastes. Automated accessories are available for all IR techniques using PIKE’s Auto-Pro software.

Auto-Pro integrates seamlessly with FTIR instrument control software to provide a high productivity approach for the busy laboratory.
